FAQ's/Policies
Check out Period
​
Books are checked out through our SELF-CHECKOUT Stations for 10 school days. Students are encouraged to stamp the due date and may renew a book if needed to allow more time to complete the book. A .05 late fee is charge for each school day the book is overdue (this does not include weekends, holidays or other school closures).
Damaged Books​

If a book is returned that has been damaged, the MTS will determine the fine that will be charged. If the book is beyond repair, the replacement price of the book will be charged. Books can not be purchased from outside vendors as replacement copies as the bindings will have less quality than those purchased from approved LRC vendors.
Lost Books

If a book is lost, the replacement price listed in the LRC catalog will be charged in order to replace the copy. Books can not be purchased from outside vendors as replacement copies as the bindings will have less quality than those purchased from approved LRC vendors.

If a book has been paid for and is found and returned to the LRC without damage within the same school year, the money will be refunded to the student. Money will not be refunded after the last day of the school year.
Donations
​
If you would like to donate books to the LRC, please contact Mrs. Carnes. Because of binding qualities and specific need, not all donated books can be used in the LRC. In some cases, the books can be distributed to teachers to enhance their classroom libraries.
